Dr. Ron Berges

Dr. Ron, a respected Osteopathic Physician in Ottumwa, Iowa has a strong background both in racing and in business. He began competitively racing in 1979 and over the years has personally competed in national and regional drag racing series, as well as SCCA club road racing. In addition to his involvement as a driver, Dr. Ron has also crewed and sponsored several IMCA oval track race cars. Professionally, Dr. Ron holds his AA and AS degrees from York College in York, NE, his BS degree in Biology from Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City, OK, as well as his D.O. from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. Named as a “Rising Young American” in 1991, Dr. Ron went on to earn a listing in “Who’s Who in America” by 1994. Dr. Berges, a past president of the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association, currently serves as Medical Director for Behavioral Health Services for Mahaska Health Partnership. In addition to his work in medicine, Dr. Ron also publishes an editorial column in Drag Illustrated called Head Games, where he discusses various mental and psychological topics relevant to racers and their teams.
Larry Puff

Larry is a long-time racer and is known in his community as a multi-talented craftsman and an excellent communicator. Larry has been fabricating, modifying, building engines, transmissions and rear-end assemblies, as well as campaigning and competing with drag race cars for over five decades. He has competed in NHRA, IHRA, and circuit racing, winning numerous accolades and the utmost respect from his peers. Larry received his AA from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI. He then went on to pursue his BA at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, but one year into the program qualified for a government accredited electrical apprenticeship. Larry pursued the opportunity and went on to earn his Electrical Master/Contractor license. Since then, Larry has worked as a skilled-tradesman and consultant for several major corporations in Southwest Michigan. Always an entrepreneur, he was listed in the 1998 “Who’s Who in Business Entrepreneurs.” Now retired from the electrical trades, Larry continues to own and operate PARTS*LINE, a specialty parts business based in Battle Creek, MI.
Aaron Puff

Aaron was born into racing and has an insatiable passion for the sport. In addition to crewing for his father since he was young, Aaron has also built and raced his own street car and has driven the team Super Stocker on several occasions. A 2002 graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in business communication, with a concentration in marketing and public relations. A natural leader, Aaron was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President George W. Bush in June 2004 for his work with the national Race Against Drugs program through AWARENESS
MOTORSPORTS. Despite all of his success, Aaron is most proud of his wife and four children. Professionally, Aaron has worked in the financial services industry since 2003 and also owns and operates The Awareness Group, a multi-faceted marketing organization that oversees the marketing efforts for
